The fourth volume of the textbook series “An Anatomy of Arts Management” is released!
ReaderIt is already the fourth time that the two Institute für Kulturkonzepte in Vienna and Hamburg edit the textbook series “An Anatomy of Arts Management”. This time the articles deal with the topic of social media in the arts, coaching and management consulting in the arts and the creative industries and intercultural communication. Interviews with experts from international organizations such as Tate Modern in London or the Museum for Applied Arts in Belgrade offer an undistorted insight into the practical realities of arts management.    

The book is released bilingual, in German and in English: The German articles are summed up in English and otherwise.


Workshops „Kulturkompetenz 50+“
The demographical change shows that our society gets older and older- a progress, which is also important for cultural institutions. It accrues a new target group and to address this specific group, the “Europäisches Zentrum für Kultur und Bildung im Alter” (European center of culture and education for aged) offers different workshops for this topic. The workshops of “Kulturkompetenz 50+” allocates expert knowledge and practical support for everyone, who wants to work with older people.

In this context Dr. Gesa Birnkraut lead a Workshop with the topic “ Ehre, Amt oder Engagement? Schaffen von erfolgreichen Strukturen im kulturellen Freiwilligenmanagement” ( Honour, office or commitment- sucessful structures for honorary office in the cultural sector). The workshop took place in the cultural office in Düsseldorf .

Workshops for the European Cultural Foundation
With this programme the European Cultural Foundation supports for the next 2 years European neighbours like Ukraine, Moldawia and Turkey to encourage their cultural resources and networks. Aim of the project is the consolidation of entire Europe through the combination of all existing potentials.



Stadt im Dialog (City in dialogue)
The senator of the government agency urban development and environment Hamburg (Anja Hajduk) invited on the 5th of July the fist time for the social function “Stadt im Dialog”. On the platform were seated seven experts of the housing industry. Together with the audience they discussed about disputable questions and arguments to the issues of housing shortage, modification from office rooms to housing space etc. This event was moderated by Dr. Gesa Birnkraut.
